Expansion Projects
Additional Expansion Projects
While the major expansion projects are continuing, various other projects are also undertaken which help improve the day-to-day functioning of Lotus Garden or prepare the way for future undertakings. Three projects of note are the construction of a new recycling and garden shed, relocation of the yurt and construction of a new directional sign for Lotus Garden.
Project Dates: September - November 2009
Recycling & Gardening Shed
The old recycling shed had been leaning more and more precariously each year. In October, Mark Good and his construction team demolished and hauled it away. A new recycling and gardening shed was constructed adjacent to the Orchard House garden. In addition to a collection site for recycling, the new shed will store tools, seeds, and flower pots.

Yurt Relocation
For the past two years, the yurt has housed the key merchandise of Ratna Kosha (Lotus Garden's store). In November it was dismantled and reassembled in a new location behind Dekyi Gatsal where it has now joined the camper support complex. Ratna Kosha's two shops, fondly nicknamed Ratna in the Round and Kosha Cabana, will be relocated.
