Heart Essence of the Mahayana Path
The Thirty-Seven Verses on the Practice of a Bodhisattva We regret that this program has been postponed indefinitely. As soon as new dates are scheduled we will post them here. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. In the 14th century the great Tibetan Buddhist teacher Gyalse Ngulchu Togme composed 37 verses on the practice of a bodhisattva. For generations this text has been revered as the heart essence of the Mahayana path. Masters of all the Tibetan Buddhist lineages have provided commentary on Thogme's root text to help students understand the vastness and profundity of the Great Vehicle. In simple verse, meant to be memorized, Thogme helps students turn their mind to the dharma, use the vicissitudes of the relative world to ignite bodhicitta and rouse the courage to perfect the transcendental virtues.
