Spanning the months between the large annual Mindrol Lekshey and Vajrayana Retreats, Lotus Garden’s smaller programs offer intimate opportunities for students to review and practice the teachings that were given by H.E. Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche during those times.

These long-weekend programs, led by one or more Lotus Garden lopöns (senior teachers appointed by Khandro Rinpoche), are offered approximately once a month. Participation in some programs is open to all. Other programs are offered to those wishing to enter a particular stream of Rinpoche’s teachings, and some programs are restricted to those who have received proper transmissions and teachings. By the close of 2018, the topics of these retreats will have included the practice of meditation; the Vajrayana preliminary practice of ngöndro; creation and completion practices, including the sadhana of Pema Garwang; the Six Yogas, Yeshe Lama, teachings on the nature of mind, and Longchenpa’s Resting in Natural Ease.

Since 2011, Lotus Garden has hosted a local study group, currently known as the Wednesday Evening Study Group, for those interested in the practice of meditation and study of Buddhism. And since 2013, on the second Sunday of most months, there is a Monthly Meditation offered for anyone curious about the practice of meditation itself.

All programs are under the direction of H.E. Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche and coordinated by the Office of Practice and Study headed by Lopön Barbara Ryan.
